National Green Week Extended to May 16!

Great news, you have not missed your chance to be a part of National Green Week, our largest K-12 sustainability education campaign! You can now make any week through May 16—an extension from April 25—yoblog 1ur very own Green Week.

National Green Week is our big annual event to empower schools to engage in sustainability focused lessons, projects and activities. The Green Week program is designed to empower school administrators and teachers to actively engage their students on the importance of environmental protection and sustainability through our free lesson plans, activities and audits.

“This was an easy call,” our CEO Victoria Waters said. “How can we deny motivated educators who want their students participating in sustainability initiatives? We are delighted to extend the deadline to accommodate their busy schedules.”

It’s easy, just follow these simple steps to start your program today…

  1. Become a GEF member here
  2. Pick any week between now and May 16, 2014 to be your Green Week
  3. Select a sustainability themed program here and integrate grade specific lessons, activities and readings (located on the left menu of each theme) into your class during your chosen Green WeekGreen Thumb Logo
  4. Complete this survey at the end of your Green Week (and be entered to win a $100 Amex gift card)
  5. Submit your program or project for a Green in Action Award (optional) prizes include $250 for your class or school

    Interesting event and organisation working with schools. I believe Italy can be inspired by them and contact them for tips and suggestions. Condivido questo articolo poichè si tratta di un interessante evento proposto da u’interessante organizzazione che lavora con le scuole. L’Italia potrebbe essere ispirata dal loro lavoro e contattarli per avere suggerimenti e consigli, coinvolgere i più piccoli i discorsi/lezioni simpatiche e divertenti sulla sostenibilità è uno dei modi per avvicinare le nuove generazioni ad una visione più green.
