In this critical field of study, all levels of expertise must be acknowledged as an achievement, and then built upon. Each subsequent level incorporates requirements from the previous levels, so you’re never doubling up or missing fundamental knowledge, no matter where you start. Academic and professional development credits are available for the K-12 Sustainability Education Specialist Certificate and the Sustainability Fellow Certificate.

Online Courses

GEF Institute’s online courses are the components of the certificate programs. So often times, by completing an online course you’ve also met the requirements to earn a certificate! Each course is offered online, on-demand so you can take it at your own pace, on your own time. All you need is an internet connection! Courses include video narrations, activities, readings, glossary and quizzes to offer a fun and engaging learning experience.
