GEF Institute is now a GBCI Education Provider for LEED Credential Maintenance

Hooray! GEF Institute’s online courses have been approved for GBCI Continuing Education (CE) Hours! This means that LEED Professionals (Green Associates or LEED APs with Specialty) can earn credit toward maintaining their credential by taking our courses.  You can find our courses in GBCI’s course catalog by searching by GEF Institute or by the name of the course. When you’re on our website, just look for the CMP mark:

So what’s an Education Provider anyway? Education Providers are third-party organizations that offer top-notch and relevant green building education and training that has been peer-reviewed and approved by GBCI. Each of the Institute’s approved courses went through a rigorous review process whereby a team of third-party subject matter experts evaluated the course based on its green building content and instructional design quality.

The online courses educate participants on the concepts of sustainability while taking an innovative and engaging approach to online learning. During the course of one of these 1.5 hour units you’ll watch videos, take quizzes, participate in a discussion forum and complete two activities! You won’t have time to surf the internet during this course!

Furthermore, these online courses are part of our Sustainability Certificate program. Earning a certificate is a great way to stand out from the crowd in a competitive job market and establish credibility as you pursue sustainability related projects and initiatives. AND, by completing all ten of the Institute’s 1.5 hour online courses (nine of which are approved for GBCI CE Hours) participants are eligible to earn academic credit from the Institute’s partnering university. You can read more about our programs and the opportunity to earn academic credit on our website under Certificates.

GEF Institute’s courses currently approved for GBCI CE Hours are:
